Overview

💡 Short version: Pitchly is designed with privacy first. All your practice data is stored on your device. We do not sell your data and we collect only the minimum information needed to keep the app running.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pitchly ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the Pitchly app ("the App"). By using Pitchly, you agree to the practices described here.

We respect your privacy. Our core design principle is that your musical progress data belongs to you, stays on your device, and is never monetised.

02

Data we collect

Data stored locally on your device (never transmitted):

Data collected automatically (anonymous, aggregated):

Data we do NOT collect:

03

How we use your data

Locally stored data is used solely to provide app functionality:

  1. Display your progress, accuracy statistics, and streak history
  2. Determine which stages and notes are unlocked
  3. Personalise the quiz difficulty based on past performance
  4. Restore your preferences when you reopen the app

Anonymous crash data is used only to identify and fix bugs. It contains no personally identifiable information.

04

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with third parties.

The only limited exception is:

We have no advertising partners, analytics SDKs, or data brokers integrated into Pitchly.

05

Data storage & retention

All practice data is stored in your device's local storage using Flutter's shared_preferences library. No data is transmitted to or stored on any remote server operated by us.

Your data persists until you delete the app or clear its storage in your device settings. We have no ability to recover data once deleted.

If you transfer or restore your device, locally stored app data follows Apple's standard iCloud backup behaviour, which is governed by your iCloud settings.

06

Your rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you already have full control over it:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California (USA), you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Since we hold no personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly through your device. Contact us if you have questions.

07

Children's privacy

Pitchly is suitable for all ages. It does not collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children under the age of 13. No account creation, social features, or external data submissions are required to use the app.

The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's guidelines for apps in the Kids category.

08

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or App Store release notes.

Continued use of Pitchly after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
